Sport is healthy and for many a passion, even a calling. Our lives and careers have always been accompanied by a passion for exercise, regardless of its type and intensity. We also see sports as an opportunity to combine personal (as former professional athletes) as well as professional experience and expertise. We always knew sport as something fun to do in one’s spare time, but gotten to know sport as “big business” intensively over the last years. As multifaceted and dynamic as the world of sport itself are its legal and economic dimensions.

After his professional sports career and subsequent law studies, Christian gained international legal experience at a big corporate law firm in Toronto as well as at major Austrian law firms. Before founding the law firm Tuscher Schmidt Rechtsanwälte together with Lukas Schmidt in 2020 Christian has been working as a sole practitioner since 2012.
Christian focuses on international private commercial law and sports law, where he has been assisting his clients in national and cross-border transactions for many years. Together with his partner Lukas, Christian also advises on selected real estate transactions with a predominantly international focus as well as high net worth individuals and entrepreneurial families. In addition to his legal expertise, clients appreciate Christian’s entrepreneurial experience and expertise, which gives his legal advice a strategic component.
Christian is the author of several publications and also acted as a lecturer at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (Institute for Entrepreneurship) as well as a business mentor of several funding institutions for young entrepreneurs in Austria.

Lukas Schmidt

For many years Lukas worked at one of the leading Austrian corporate law firms in the Corporate/M&A practice group and gained international experience and expertise during secondments in New York and the United Kingdom. In 2020 he then founded the law firm Tuscher Schmidt Rechtsanwälte together with Christian Tuscher.
Lukas focuses his legal practice on commercial and company law as well as real estate law. He assists our clients in (cross-border) M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions and reorganizations and supports them in real estate transactions and property development projects. Our clients particularly appreciate his client- and solution-oriented advice and his open and sociable manner on a personal level.
Lukas is co-author of several publications on M&A and venture capital topics, gives lectures on these topics and is a speaker at startup/venture capital events (e.g. the lawsummit).
